Weekly Photo Challenge: Night Time

Night time puts a whole new spin on things.  I was always afraid of the dark when I was young so lights have been important to me.  Always difficult to capture (at least for me). Here are some of my favourite shots – lighting up the night time!

Pamukkale at night

“Magical Lights” Pamukkale at Night – Turkey

Fire Light - Drumming in the Sahara

“Fire Light” – Drumming in the Sahara – Morocco

"Dinner Lights" - The Franciscan at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco

About The Amateur Adventurer

I call myself an amateur adventurer. You don't need to be a "professional" backpacker, you don't have to drop out to travel. I'm an ordinary person with a 9-5 job and everyday responsibilities. But I've made a point to have extraordinary experiences. And so can you. Follow me on my adventures and find out how.

  1. I especially liked the second shot!

  2. Wonderful shots. Especially the first two.

  3. Beautiful. Pamukkale at night looks surreal.

  4. I love your “Fire Light” shot! Gorgeous!

  5. My favorite is the second. Keep adventuring.

  6. Love the wonderful art-deco crab restaurant and the drummers in the firelight.

    • Thanks Martin! The food and cocktails were pretty good as well – and there is an amazing collage of hundreds of famous celebrities who have eaten there – the Marilyn Munro ones are stunning!

The Sahara was amazing – and with no city lights and thousands of stars – well you can imagine – unfortunately I had no tripod and photographic skills to capture the sky – although chewed through the data card trying!

  7. I absolutely love the Moroccan photo!! The rest are pretty amazing as well!!

  8. wow- the first photo is beautiful!!! Amazing!!
